Oleg Kazancev, Deputy General director on foreign economics of “Gazprom geofizika” LLC, Gilberto Carvalio Lima - Deputy General Manager of Exploration and Production Department of Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras and Sergey Korotkov, Director of International Industrial Cooperation in Russian Federation signed the Memorandum of Understanding on November, the 26th, in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

The MOU defines the following ways of cooperation:
• enhancing efficiency of geophysical and seismic operations;
• testing of exploration and production wells to perform geologic-geophysical operations;
• development and operation of gas- and oilfields.

Signing of the MOU is the development of agreements achieved before and demonstrates the aspiration of Russian and Brazilian partners towards technical partnership for realization of exploration projects in the territory of Brazil.
