NIIGT RPB «Orenburggeofizika» offers core and sludge laboratory examination in the main six directions including the following parameters:
– lithological characteristics of rocks (micro- and macro-description, granulometry, carbonate content, shaliness etc.);
– reservoir properties defining quantitative characteristics of rocks as gas and oil reservoirs (porosity, permeability, gas-, water- and oil saturation);
– physical characteristics comparable to the characteristics studied by GIS methods (electric resistance, natural radioactivity, Young modulus, Poisson’s ratio, capture cross-section);
– dynamic characteristics of reservoir rocks related to simulation of their stimulation as a result of field development and underground gas storage operation (a factor of oil displacement by water or gas, relative permeability etc.);
– operational characteristics related to study of rock drillability, efficiency of perforation, hydraulic fracturing of formation, the effect of flushing fluid upon formation flow characteristics etc.;
– paleontological, micro-paleontological and paleo-palinilogical rock dating.
