Measurement of gas and gas condensate well production rate presents an urgent and at the same time quite complicated problem arising during field development. Urgency of this problem is also governed by the necessity to improve the gas production efficiency, which is impossible without qualitative operational control of gas and gas condensate well production conditions. Complexity of this problem lies in the fact that well production consists of the mixture of gas, gas condensate, stratum water and mechanical impurities.

The conventional methods and information and measurement systems for well production control based on preliminary gas separation and sometimes on separation of liquid components too do not meet current requirements of the industry and state-of-the-art of information and measurement technologies.

At the present time LLC «Gazprom geofizika» offers services for carrying out wellhead gas dynamic studies with the use of mobile laboratories based on multiphase flow measurement systems.
