In the period since September 9, 2010 to September 11, 2010 the well-logging expedition of “Astrakhangazgeofizika” production branch has successfully conducted the works on measurement of reservoir pressure and the identification of possible overflows of inter-string flows in well № 9926 of the Astrakhan gas condensate field. Geophysical surveys were carried out with the usage of special well-head and round-trip equipment of “ASEP” Company production. In particular the lubricator unit that was designed to perform wire line and cable works in wells with aggressive environment (H2S ≤ 30%, SO2 ≤ 25%) and maximum pressure up to 700 atmospheres. To perform tripping process the expedition used «LandLine D» well logging unit on the chassis of KAMAZ (pic. 1, 2).

Astrakhan gas condensate field is unique for its geological characteristics. Gas extraction is carried out in the 4000-4100 meters interval. Field development is rather difficult because of the presence of abnormally high reservoir pressures as well as content of aggressive components in the flow (H2S ≤ 25%).
It should be noted that “Gazprom geofizika” LLC performed such geophysical studies in the active well stock of Astrakhan gas condensate field for the first time. Previously we had to attract technical and human resources of the Customer for geophysical studies in monitoring the development of the Astrakhan gas condensate field.
The introduction of «ASEP» equipment in the production process has fully justified itself. Today we can confidently say that in spite of difficult geological and technological conditions “Gazprom geofizika” LLC has necessary technical equipment and qualified specialists to solve the problems connected with overhaul, development and control over the development of the Astrakhan gas condensate field.
